Phoebe Summers

I've always been creative but I never quite found my voice until I began taking photos. I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to take this in which brought me to Plymouth where I completed my BA in Media Arts, and by the end of my degree, I realised that I was most passionate about portrait photography. As someone who has always felt very stiff in front of the camera (and in my experience most of us do, at least initially!) I have always been much more drawn to candid shots, those moments in between poses when people are a little more off guard. These photos feel a lot more 'real' to me, giving a glimpse into someone's personality to create a photo that makes them feel seen and that they want to show off.
